Sunday and ward conference all in one. Ok, so sacrament meeting was a trial for me. Have you ever sat in front of the family that talks all the way through everything, and not is the best whisper voices every. I have had the misfortune before where I sat behind them, and have done my best to avoid them ,but today the church was full and I was in the back. I sat down and not more than two minutes later the family sits behind me, ugh.....
I will say Sunday School was good and made me think of some of my priorities and what needs to be moved around.
It is cold here and windy and I don't care for either one.

I Ironed all day, I now can look at my pretty closet and know that for two weeks, I get to go to work in no wrinkly clothing. Something about a closet full of ironed clothing makes me happy. I hop you all had a wonderful Saturday.

Well I will tell you what I am not going to do is think,talk, or book any form of airfare for anyone.
I am going to clean,do laundry and watch a movie or two. I am going to start working on my next relief society lesson, and bake another cake for Rain, the first one was awful.
The weekend is here and we are going to party like it's 1999 again.

Rain is another year older and wiser too, happy birthday to you!
Thursday a bright and sunny day in the land of Vegas. This is what I hear, I go to work in the dark and I come home at dusk, I don't care for dusk at 330pm but so it is. Rain had a good birthday, presents, good wishes, dinner out, and a homemade cake which he has not had any yet......

I am now going to go put on my pj's watch a romance movie and not think
at all. I think my brain is revolting on all that I think about each day.
What is the lowest fare from Philadelphia to Las Vegas, do you want a non-stop, do you want to leave in the morning,come home mid afternoon. Do you prefer the aisle, window, or the oh,so sought after middle seat. Are you going to say yes to the first flight option i send to you or are you going to drive me crazy all day long trying different times, airlines, and #of stops, only to say I'll take the first option and then get mad because the price has gone up. Ugh.......

Sunday evening, our computer had a bit of a traumatic week. One of the fans that cools the mother board decided to go on vacation. Ugh, no computer in our home for 4 days is 4 days to many.
Friday, night we went to dinner with a friend who is interested in an LDS girl, and he is not LDS. He asked me so many questions of what we believe. Questions on how Rain and I make our marriage work with two different religions. Questions on why is it so important for a Temple marriage. Question on where is is OK to not follow everything you are taught. My heart goes out to him, he really seems to like this girl, but he just does not understand how important the Church is to her. I did ask him if he had a Book of Mormon, "yes" , I asked if he has read it, his answer was he is afraid...As we got ready to go, I just said to him, I challenge you to start reading the Book of Mormon. I told him it does not matter if he believes or not just read the Book. We shall see.
After our conversation a few days ago I just can not let it go there is more to say, but I am at a loss of what to say. Today in Sunday School it came to me I am going to send him a copy of the Articles of Faith. You know they came about when the press was hounding Joseph Smith on what The Church of Jesus Christ believes.
Saturday night Rain and I went to a wedding in Logandale, it was a small town wedding. The Bride was beautiful and the Groom was smiling from ear to ear. The flower girl did an awesome job spreading the rose petals down the isle.
Well Sunday night at 8pm I have got to get ready for bed, another busy week ahead at work.

The first Friday of the week for me.
We are doing the trial membership with Netflix, and we watched to comedians and then I watched Precious. I don't have any words yet on how I felt about the movie, left me just........

Monday, what a day. Have you ever gone to work and felt all day you were trudging through mud? That was the kind of day I had.
I hope you all had a wonderful Martin Luther King Jr. day. Did you work, did you stay home, did you go to a parade. What ever you did I hope it was fun.
I have a bit of light reading to do before I hit the hay. I love a good trash magazine.

Sunday is almost over for me. It was a beautiful day here in Vegas. The sun was shinning and the birds chirping and horse in our back yard going up and down the street. I made it through my lesson just fine. I always worry that I am going to end the lesson 20 minutes early and then what. But today I ended just on time for us to sing the song say the prayer and walk out the door. Yes....
My lesson on Work and personal reliance went well. There was one lady in the front row who was sleeping, but I give her a break she is a single mom of three girls who just got off a 12 hour shift at the hospital, I really wanted to just give her a cot, pillow and a blanket and tell her I will wake her in an hour. But other than that I had comments galore and I even made the ladies laugh and one cry. I still wonder what I am to learn, other that what I learn each week. Maybe that is it, to start or keep doing those thing that are true and correct. I just wish I could deliver a talk (lesson) as smoothly as my Dad, he is one good speaker. I will keep trying.
Well dinner is done, the dishes are still in the sink, but Rain can do those tomorrow while I am at work. We shared a wonderful dessert
Time for me to hit the hay.. I want to say to McKenzie happy birthday and thank you for letting me sing to you over the phone, have a wonderful year full of new and exciting adventures. I want to say to our friend Karen who's mother passed this morning our prayers are with you and your family.
Truly you never know what the day will bring when you wake up.

Saturday is that special day.... yeah, the day of going to work with no bosses and getting more done than you did all week. The day you make it to Costco by the hair on your chinny chin chin, made dash..t.p. and hummus we are set. The day you stop at Cafe Rio for dinner because you have a free meal and get the fish tacos, because they really sounded good ,and they weren't. The day you can not stop thinking I am going to make a fool of my self tomorrow giving my Relief Society lesson. This is the day I am done with and now crawling into bed. AH....

Ok, so I car pool to work each day with two individuals. I am usually the driver(only because I am a control nutcase) but with the new year I am trying out being a passenger. We commute 22-25 miles each day to and from work. Coming from the farthest Northwest part of Las Vegas to Bally's hotel casino on the strip. Usually there is not much to the commute. I am always really intent on not getting into an accident. Well to day we were at the red light on Flamingo and Las Vegas blvd, the corner was consumed with people just hanging out, my brain really there is no other place you would like to be, but her in the car smoke filled corner. I really don't get the draw anymore at all. I must becoming sort of a native. The light turned green and we sped off to the next red light. Here we have a visitor to our state looking at his belly button. Really who does this in public at a red light. What kind of things are going through your mind that tells you "hey, red light waiting to cross, let's check out our belly button". This made me laugh out loud in the car and proceed onto the others. Things happen in Vegas that are funny, yes funny.
Well I hope you all are ready for your three day weekend. Think of me, I will be working on Saturday, teaching on Sunday and back to work on Monday. I live a G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S life....

Welcome 1-11-11 a-ha what a crazy Tuesday. Do you ever wake up and feel like you have been in a tumbling dryer all night long. I have the busy job right now at work and come home exhausted, I failed to fix dinner tonight and instead went to "ChinaOne" for lettuce wraps, pepper steak and maubo tofu. So now no dinner out for 2 weeks. I just get tired of spending $30.00 at the drop of a hat for dinner, so we are eat in people. Tomorrow I am planning a wonderful dinner of all the left-overs, see my great wisdom...hehehe!
Trying to figure out my lesson, I love the second part "We are Commanded to Work", a commandment that "in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread. I think today I powered a nuclear station with the mental work that is demanded of me today.
Just a random thought I wonder how many people were married or born today, what a cool anniversary or birthday. These are the things that go through my head.

Do you know how hard it is to sit in a confined space with two individuals who have nothing positive to say. I am really trying to be better with what I say. I am trying to not say negative things about another person, but rather just keep my mouth shut. Along with my mouth,are my thoughts. I am finding this much more difficult to do. I will continue and I will become better.
One thing I love about the new year is mind numbing t.v. I love the bachelor it makes me smile, and I just can and wait to see exactly who Brad picks.
On a much better note dinner was really good tonight. I made seafood pasta with scallops, pan roasted yellow neck squash, and garlic bread. I had it all timed just right nothing over cooked. Yeah, me!
Now, I just have to get more prepared for my RS Lesson "Work and Personal Responsibility".

Sunday, one relaxing day..
With the new year comes new time for church 1-4pm. yeah? I thought it would be better than 11-2pm. However this cuts into afternoon nap time, so I guess I will get to sleep in just a bit later now.
There is a plaque in my kitchen that says "Do one thing each day that makes you happy". I have thought all day what this would be today. Well let me say the after dinner Coke - A Cola with ice is making me really happy.... :)

Saturday...finally
I made it through the work week and today collapsed. I was in and out of concise while watching Gilmore Girls. I have to give a big shout out to Rain who worked like a dog getting those things we needed done, done. Outside Christmas lights taken down, installed lights in the pantry, installed new hangers in the pantry, and installed the new turtle door knocker on the front door. Thank you sir all is truly appreciated.
We went to Flat Track bike racing tonight, actually was a fun time,and if you are into good racing it is a fun event. Thank you to Sonja who scored free tickets, good night with friends.

We have a tiny pantry, which means space is limited for the goods. Trying to figure out what to fix for dinner and I open the pantry door and look at what is staring me in the face. Fried Spam sandwich anyone, or eggs and Vienna Sausage.... I claim them both to Rain.

This s my travel post card tree. As you can see I have been a few places and so has Rain. As we finished dinner I just sat and thought where do I want to go. I want to go to a tropical resort, I want to go to Rome, I want to go see the sun rise of the pyramids in Egypt, I want to go to Germany in December to the Christmas festival, I want to go to see the running of the bulls in Spain, I want to go to Carnival in Rio (just once), I want to go back to Japan in spring time and see all the cherry blossoms, I want to see the Great wall of China. The really question is where would I not want to go. There isn't a place, I love to travel and see new places, to see how my fellow human beings live on this earth.

I bought this cookie jar years ago in Walt Disney World. I was on a trip with my cousin Kim, we had a whirl wind vacation in Florida. We had so much fun and many memories are in my home. But this cookie jar put a smile on my face each day, I just look at it and the Mickey Mouse Club song comes to my mind. Lets put on our marching shoes and march around the kitchen.

Resolution for January 3, 2011 make dinner that is really good.
Back in the swing of things at work, I love the first day back get acquainted again with your computer and chair. I have to tell the chair fairy's please leave my chair alone when I am gone, I have it set just right, and feel really upset when you move the height and take by back rest off, total re-adjustment.Jeez.....
I got home tonight and had planned to make fajitas and soup. I still can not taste anything, but Rain assured me it all tasted superb.

Usually we have a ball game on during dinner in the other room that either one or both of us is intent on. We tonight Rain and I had a music concert with our ipods swapping back and forth some of our favorite songs. It made me think back to all the record concerts I had in my home growing up. Good Monday night full of good food(so I'm told), good music, and a good husband.

The first Sunday of the year. Did you keep you resolutions for the past 24 hours?
No resolutions yet for this house. It just might be the year of daily resolutions.
For example, I was resolute to make Sunday dinner today, (this is a big thing for me) we had pot roast, corn, potato's, and rolls for dinner. The bigger accomplishment is all the dishes are done.
Tomorrow is the first day back to work, wish us the best. And if you too have to work after a holiday off best of luck.

Do you ever feel like this.....?
After a fun trip to Utah for Christmas both Rain and I got a wonderful gift. The Winter Cold. Yes, the air is permeated with the smell of Vicks, the garbage is full of kleenex, and the cough syrup is almost gone. But hey we are now on the upper end of the whole gift. I highly recommend this gift if you need a day in bed switching from freezing chills and dripping sweat, just picture it now.
Now in all serious-ness, we did have a wonderful time with my family this year, to see the nieces and nephew and laughing with my brothers and sisters is always a good time. I have to say Jacob is the best game player, he actually reads the rules and then sighs when I have asked for the 100th time for him to stop and just teach me as we play, thanks Jacob.
Beth and I went shopping and for lunch, she let me pick the place to eat. Crown Burger is the best stake sandwich with frys and frysauce on the planet. I recommend this joint with two thumbs up, and it is even more enjoyable if you have a sister to share some verbage with.
Benjamin, let me just say he is the chef of us all. Thank you thank you thank you for the wonderful raspberry jello salad, and then for the bacon wrapped chestnuts.
Keep cooking and you can move down here and I will rent you a room for dinner cooked each night.
Katie is my second sister. She is calm, she is even keel, she NEVER has anything bad to say about another person. She also likes a good game and a good piece of Chocolate. Katie is the mother of my two beautiful nieces Kennedy and Macy. I admire her patience with the growing girls and all they demand of her time.
McKenzie is my third sister. She is always put together, she has just the piece of flair to complete an outfit. She loves our nieces and nephew and has joy with them, this is something I admire in McKenzie.
There is Ira, my third brother, however I like to call him my favorite Burton Brother in Law.heheheh;)(I only have one Burton Brother in law). Ira is funny, in the quite and were you listening way and if you were not to bad catch you on the next one. Ira is full of Love, he opened his beautiful home up to the entire Fullmer Family. Ira is the person if he knows you need help, he is there and does not leave until the job is done. I admire the calm spirit of Ira.
Mom.. really how did she survive all of us four kids? This is the question I ask my self more as I get older. She is strong and very tough. It is fun to see her with the grand kids, she sings to them, acts silly with them, and loves them to the ends of the earth and back. Mom does a lot of service, and never have I heard her ask for praise, she does a lot in secret. I want Moms strength.
Dad, has four grand kids that love him much. Is is fun to see them come into the house looking for him. Dad can give a talk like nobody I know. I only hope to someday feel as comfortable giving a lesson as Dad looks giving a talk. Dad values family so much and enjoys the time he has with is kids and their spouses and their kids. I think I get that from him.
Rain and I are really blessed to have family. And we look forward to this coming year of 2011 to spending time with our Pioquinto Family.
I wish you all a Happy New Year, and I hope you have a good 2011. No goals are made yet. All of the changes I would like to make are going in a circle like a merry go round in my head. So when the horses jump off like in Mary Poppins I will be atop the first one and take that as a new goal first.
After a fun trip to Utah for Christmas both Rain and I got a wonderful gift. The Winter Cold. Yes, the air is permeated with the smell of Vicks, the garbage is full of kleenex, and the cough syrup is almost gone. But hey we are now on the upper end of the whole gift. I highly recommend this gift if you need a day in bed switching from freezing chills and dripping sweat, just picture it now.
Now in all serious-ness, we did have a wonderful time with my family this year, to see the nieces and nephew and laughing with my brothers and sisters is always a good time. I have to say Jacob is the best game player, he actually reads the rules and then sighs when I have asked for the 100th time for him to stop and just teach me as we play, thanks Jacob.
Beth and I went shopping and for lunch, she let me pick the place to eat. Crown Burger is the best stake sandwich with frys and frysauce on the planet. I recommend this joint with two thumbs up, and it is even more enjoyable if you have a sister to share some verbage with.
Benjamin, let me just say he is the chef of us all. Thank you thank you thank you for the wonderful raspberry jello salad, and then for the bacon wrapped chestnuts.
Keep cooking and you can move down here and I will rent you a room for dinner cooked each night.
Katie is my second sister. She is calm, she is even keel, she NEVER has anything bad to say about another person. She also likes a good game and a good piece of Chocolate. Katie is the mother of my two beautiful nieces Kennedy and Macy. I admire her patience with the growing girls and all they demand of her time.
McKenzie is my third sister. She is always put together, she has just the piece of flair to complete an outfit. She loves our nieces and nephew and has joy with them, this is something I admire in McKenzie.
There is Ira, my third brother, however I like to call him my favorite Burton Brother in Law.heheheh;)(I only have one Burton Brother in law). Ira is funny, in the quite and were you listening way and if you were not to bad catch you on the next one. Ira is full of Love, he opened his beautiful home up to the entire Fullmer Family. Ira is the person if he knows you need help, he is there and does not leave until the job is done. I admire the calm spirit of Ira.
Mom.. really how did she survive all of us four kids? This is the question I ask my self more as I get older. She is strong and very tough. It is fun to see her with the grand kids, she sings to them, acts silly with them, and loves them to the ends of the earth and back. Mom does a lot of service, and never have I heard her ask for praise, she does a lot in secret. I want Moms strength.
Dad, has four grand kids that love him much. Is is fun to see them come into the house looking for him. Dad can give a talk like nobody I know. I only hope to someday feel as comfortable giving a lesson as Dad looks giving a talk. Dad values family so much and enjoys the time he has with is kids and their spouses and their kids. I think I get that from him.
Rain and I are really blessed to have family. And we look forward to this coming year of 2011 to spending time with our Pioquinto Family.
