It's alive
Many many times I have looked to see if others have posted on their blog and frustrated that there is no new information. Then I think of the saying "Hello pot this is kettle calling". So much has happened in this first year of first time parents to a wonderful little boy Jonah.
I went back to work in January after much waillng and nashing of teeth. I came home that first day and woke a sleeping baby. I missed him so much it physically hurt, but I knew he was in good hands with Grandma Sue. She stayed until the end of March to help us so we did not have to put Jonah in Day Care until he was a bit bigger. Whew is all I had to day.
Jonah thrives at his School (it makes me feel better to call it a school rather than a daycare). He has wonderful teachers that love him and really care for him. He is by fare the biggest kid in his class and by far the last one to do something in the class. I would look at all these babies and see they are sitting up and rolling over and crawling by them selfs.
Then there was Jonah. What I have learned from Jonah is he is going to do things in his own time, all the doctors and specialist are just going to have to wait for him to want to do the next step. I have to say MANY hours of me on the floor trying to get Jonah to rollover were spent. I finally gave op one night and just let him play, next thing I knew there he was rolling from front to back all by himself. He just looked at me with the look of "Mom, see I can do this I just wanted to wait a bit longer to grow up". I was so proud of him i just cried and cried.
Now I told him lets start to crawl, yes I know I was not satastified. Jonah again took his own sweet time. He was the best baby to stay on his blanket. Then one day he realized he could push himself backwards all over. At time this got him stuck in the corner by the bookshelf, this led to a wail of get me out of her so I can move. I am proud to say Jonah finally learnted to crawl and crawl he does. I call him lighting mcqueen sometimes. When he wants to get somewhere it is speedy.
Jonah now has 5 teeth and we are going to hope for more, he has a crooked smile with three teeth on the bottom and two on the top. He loves to grind the teeth back and forth making a wonderfuly awful clicking noise. Joy he is growing up.
Jonah loves all food, peaches were iffy for quite a while but he has realized they are quite a treat with some oatmeal in the morning.
I love the quite time in the moring when I get to feed him a bottle and welcome the morning sunshine to the valley, and I love the night when we snuggle down with pj's , warm toasty milk, and a woobie to snuggle and watch the moon come up. He is a joy to have.
Jonah truned one on 29 October 2012, and we had a fancy birthday party for him. I am sure he had no idea what was going on but, we had a room full of family and friends there to celebrat this little boy with us. I never thought I would have that night to celebrate the life of my litte son. It was so humbling to look in the faces of those there and know they loved and supported us and our family. We are truly blessed.
I do have to say Jonah is a truly good baby, we take him everywhere and let him experience all things. He is very studious, He really looks things over and then makes a decision on what to do. I can just see the wheels in his mind moving. I hope he always stays good natured and calm, he will go far in life.
Now we are on to the next adventure of walking with Jonah, keep your fingers crossed he just might get this by Thanksgiving. Watchout cousins he loves to be included in all things.

The end of the year
As there is only a few Hours left in this year.....When I started to title this blog last year "2011 come along and see what happens". Little did I know what this last year would bring. Both Rain and I have had a life changing year. We started out working and planning to go to Disneyland and a trip to big bear. Well all of our plans took a major change in the first week of March when we found out we were going to be parents. Yes, both of us were just a bit surprised. On October 29,2011 Jonah Brent Pioquinto was born and has made me a mom. This is a great blessing that I never thought would happen. I have finally realized I had to grow up and calm down in order to have this little boy come into my life. I am so very grateful and look forward to this next year of raising this little spirit from my Heavenly Father. I often wonder what this little boy will grow into, and what she has to teach me. Well I hope you all have had a good 2011 and look forward to a Fun Filled 2012.

Now, this was not on my list of things to get done today. but the laundry, dirty bathroom, and the dishes can wait. Jonah slept from 1030pm last night to 530am this morning. I can hear all of you mothers out there giving a big old cheer. Yes, I have told Jonah all day what a wonderful baby he is and if he would care to repeat that event again tonight his Mom would love him even more than she already does. Jonah and I have spent the last few hours full of smiles and he is finding is little voice. These moments are priceless.

You are worth more than you know.
How brave are you?
Do you say what is on your mind? or do you say what others want to hear?
Do you let those in your life know how important they are? or do you just take them for granted?
Do you tell the truth? or do you lie?
Do you show love everyday? or only when another is looking?
Do you practice what you preach? or do you have two faces?
Do you repent? or do you hold on to guilt?
Do you make mistakes? or are you perfect?
Do you build another up? or do you tear them down?
Do you see the positive? or do you only see the negative?
Do you know you are more important, special, and loved more that you can comprehend?
Just a reminder you are worth more than you know.

What a difference a week makes
I have been home now one week with Jonah, and let me tell you what a difference one week makes. I can not believe how much I love this little boy that has come into our home. Last week my Mom and Sister Beth were here. There are no words that express my thankfulness to them. Rain and I are both off and it is a good thing. Rain has been the best errand runner, chauffeur, correct formula purchaser, and loving husband I could possibly want. We brought Jonah home on Halloween, so I went trick or treating and got a big treat to bring home. Yes, he is a real treat. Last Monday night I had to sit down slowly and it took a bit longer to stand up. Last Tuesday I had to wait for Beth to get here and when I woke up from one of my naps, I find my sister with my son what a good event to have in your home. Last Wednesday Rain went to get new formula for Jonah, to help reduce the gas he has. Last Thursday we took Jonah for his first doctor check up and all is well, Last Friday we spent the day in watching damages and talking like girls while Rain napped. Last Saturday I watched as my Mom and Beth washed my kitchen floor, this may not seem like a big event but they will never know how grateful I am for this act. Also, I finally left the house and made the grand trip to Target, I needed to leave the house just for a few minutes. We went to the airport to pick up Grandma and Grandpa Pioquinto, they were surprised to see me and Jonah there. Last Sunday I cried and cried as Mom and Beth drove away, but them quickly gathered myself and spent a few hours just me and Jonah waiting for his Dad to come home from church.
Today I woke up feeling good and ready to start this new week. I feel good, staples are out and I feel even better(it is amazing how much better). I feel like we can take this next week on. And yes I will take a nap as well maybe two.
Happy Birthday Jonah Brent Pioquinto.
I am finally awake and have a few moments to jot down the events of the day Jonah was born.
We checked in to the hospital on the 29 October 2011 to be induced. I was not nervous, I was just more anxious to get this baby here. I want to see what he looks like. The 29 October 2011 turned out to be one long day. I was blessed to have family around me to support me this day. My mom did not leave the room all day, I can only imagine how those four walls felt in her shoes. After 12 hours of trying to have this little boy my doctor said we need to do a c-section to get him out. You see Jonah did not like the medicine and his little heart beat keep going down so quickly we went to the O.R. for a c-section. Rain was given his blue outfit to change into and I was prepped and whisked down the hall. Rain sat by my head and we waited for all the action to start. I have the best doctor to deliver this little boy, and it turned out his wife was there to assist him in this delivery. It seemed to take forever to hear that first cry, but once he did I was so excited to know Jonah was here safe and sound. Rain brought him over for me to take a quick glimpse and then took Jonah to get cleaned up and ready to meet his family. I got back to the room and we announced the name to Mom and Dad. The name Rain and I finally came to is Jonah Brent Pioquinto. You know deciding on a name for our child turned out to be harder than I thought it could be. Benjamin, Jacob, and Mckenzie came back to the hospital to welcome their nephew. It was so good to turn my head and see this little boy in the arms of his uncles and aunt. I am so grateful they drove all the way Salt Lake to welcome Jonah into the world. This little boy has a lot of family that loves him.

Waiting is the name of the game.
October 22, 2011
Yes, we are still just a family of two waiting for the third to make his arrival any day. Mom and I went to the beauty parlor today. Mom got a manicure with french tips they look cook, and I got a pedicure hoping that the massage on my feet and ankles (which by the way are now the size of an elephant) trying to stimulate labor.
Nope he is still tucked away. I was trying to barter with Thor Danger to come out and I would let him have chocolate milk whenever he wanted, that I would let him play in the mud, that I would allow him to eat marshmallow's. None of this worked.
I have to teach in Relief Society tomorrow about the Second Coming of Christ, this will be my last lesson this year, I am a bit torn on my emotions glad to not have to prepare another and sad that I don't get to learn and prepare another. Oh, well...
Keep a prayer in your heart for this baby to come this week, this momma is ready and done.

5 YEARS.......
Yes, it was 5 years ago today Rain and I were married. It was a rainy day that day. Today was full of sunshine and good memories, I finally feel like we have made a milestone.
Our day was spent with doctor appointments, gift exchanges, buying a new phone, cutting my hair and getting a pedicure, and last but not least taking a nap(which seems to be my favorite pastime right now). Who could ask for more...
We are anxiously waiting for our son to get here. He is snug as a bug in my tummy right now, the doctors said you have plenty of water around him and we will see you next Tuesday for another check up. In all honesty each of the last three check ups I was really hoping the doctor would say get to the hospital he is ready to be born. But at last I am still learning patients. Today while getting the ultra sound the tech said he is head down face up, I was so excited, I wanted to see his face to see if I could see anything, but she was not very nice and did not show us, ugh I still have to wait. I also asked the tech if they could see if our son had hair, she advised maybe. REALLY lady this is how you are going to handle a 9 plus month pregnant woman, who really wants to be done....give me a break. I held my tongue and smiled and said see you Tuesday. Good thing our mind thought are not broadcast across the sky.
So I wait until Tuesday......
