Whew we made it through the 3 day weekend here in Vegas.
Friday night Joe and I went to a birthday party at the Country Dance Hall. We had a fabulous time dancing line dances, we are going to have to work on swing and two-step, luckily this joint has free dance lessons on Wednesday nights from 7-9pm "Yee-haw" we have a new activity in the middle of the week, a mid week date. We came home at the reasonable hour of 10pm, honestly I get very cranky after 930pm any more. Also I wanted to get a good night sleep so when I was participating in our Caucus I had a clear head in making my decision on who to vote for. Now I understand this has no bearing on the actual vote in November but I feel very strong this year on our candidates for President and what they are saying. I only hope as I always to that whomever becomes President of our United States will actually have the power to speak to congress and make this Nation we live in a better place. Anyhow the Caucus took 2 hours ugh, Politics and speed do not go hand in hand. But my participation make me feel a bit better and Joe just wanted to be done. We headed to Costco for our 6 months of supply purchase, I am still trying to make him understand the importance of food storage, he still does not like keeping canned veggies and fruits under our bed. I just keep reminding him of the meals we have everyday come from this food storage and how lucky we are to be able to have a bit of food storage should anything happen we do not have to worry about where our next meal is going to come from. My plug for my new calling of "Provident Living" in the ward. Now if I could just get him to eat a casserole.
We had ward conference in Sunday, the members of the Stake actually filled the rooms and made us look like a real ward. Our ward was split a year ago and the major part of the members are in the other ward. The upside I counted 34 babies in Sunday School, there is something in the water out here. I got home just in time for the start of Football, yes we had hours and hours of football going in our home. I finally made Joe go in the other room for the second game so I could enjoy a few episodes of "Americas Next Top Model", I know they are reruns but this show is my time of sheer junk TV.
I awoke Monday and had the cleaning bug in my blood. Joe left to get a few things and I was a mad woman going from one room to the next trying to re-discover the object in our home under the layers of dust and crud. I have been on strike for 3 weeks actually I got myself another craft project going and when that happens all falls by the way side. I loaded up the CD player with my favorite CD's and turned the volume just below the annoying neighbors line and went to town. I have to say I have a very diverse flavor of music. I think this comes from the "Record Nights" my Dad would do. He would let us pick songs off of his Record collection and we would have a fun night of music. Everything from Sunrise Sunset from Fiddler on the Roof to the Devil went down to Georgia from the Charlie Daniels Band. I have to say I got alot done on Monday Morning. I was just cleaning the mirrors in the Bathroom when Reba's Song "My Sister My Friend" came on next thing I knew Joe was right beside me with a Kleenex. I looked at him and wondered what he was doing there, he said "isn't this the song that makes you cry" I said only sometimes trying to be brave, he left the Kleenex on the counter and left, and yes I used the tissue.
Well our day ended with a fun movie 27 dresses, it is fun and very predictable, but good time.
Now on to this week only 4 days till GARTH!!!!!!!!!!!
