My Mom and Dad came down in March for the Nascar race. This was Mom's first time to the race. Rain and Dad had her all decked out in Carl Edwards gear, hat, shirt, jacket and yes he won the race! We had a good time with family and many friend. I was so grateful for nice weather, not hot not cold just right. I wish we had a taken a photo of us, but yeah I did not have the camera. Mom brought down some gifts to me for my Birthday.
Beth sent down this beautiful green vase. I love it! I went right away and bought some sun flowers to put inside, it looks so good in our home. Thanks Beth.
Jacob and Katie send down a wind chime, I have a shepherds hook in the backyard and the chime is wonderful, each time I hear it I think of Jacob and Katie. Thank you.
Then as the last morning when my parent left I notices this addition on my buffet...

The biggest change that is going on in our home, is the preparation for our baby...
Who ever would have thought this day would come. After 5 at home pregnancy tests I finally told Rain we need to make a doctor appointment and yep we are going to have a baby around Halloween. I laughed at the Doctor when she told us the due date. You see I am not particularly fond of Halloween, and just my luck this baby will come on the exact day. I am really keeping my fingers crossed for any other day. But you know what any day as long as it is healthy will do.
I am finally feeling a bit better,I am not going to complain at all the morning or in my case afternoon sickness has not been that bad. I just wish something would taste good, but I have hope that will change.
I have to kick Rain out of his man cave now and get the room prepared for our child. He will get the Man Cave back someday, when I am not sure but someday.
We went to the Doctor yesterday for a Genetic Testing only because I am in the "you are old group" to have a baby. They look first for downs syndrome number one. Well two indicators of this is there is extra skin on the back of the baby's neck and extra fluid and there is no nasal bone formed. Well we have just the correct amount of skin on the back of the neck and no extra fluid. Now this kid would not give us a profile view to check out the nasal bone but we will double check that later in June. The blood test was easy and over before I thought it began, I told the nurse she rocked at here job. The doctor said all looks good and the baby is measuring correctly. This kid has its fathers busy legs, they did not stop kicking the whole time we were looking at it. I will have a karate chopping kid. I have put the first picture below, hope you can see something that makes sense. Stay tuned we find out the gender in June.
